LOTION NV KOJIC ACID + NV HYDROXY ACIDS

The search for radiant and uniform skin inspired the creation of Lotion NV Kojic Acid 5% + NV Hydroxy Acids 5%. This formula incorporates nanoencapsulation of the active ingredients NV Kojic Acid and NV Hydroxy Acids, which enhance the benefits of kojic acid and hydroxy acids, being known for their skin whitening and rejuvenating properties. The blend present in Lotion NV Kojic Acid 5% + NV Hydroxy Acids 5% acts synergistically as a gentle peeling, helping to treat hyperchromia and melasma, while promoting uniformity of skin tone. The encapsulation of active ingredients in nanoparticles protects them against unwanted interactions, ensuring that they only act on the desired target of action. Furthermore, nanoencapsulation ensures greater solubility, bioavailability and functionality of the active ingredients, resulting in the maximum effectiveness of the cosmetic product.

ACTIVES DESCRIPTION

NV Kojic Acid

NV Kojic Acid is a combination of active ingredients that includes kojic acid and licorice extract, providing whitening and anti-aging effects and is recommended for the treatment of skin hyperchromia.

Kojic acid (5-hydroxy-2-(hydroxymethyl)-4-pyrone) is a substance of natural origin obtained through the fermentative process by Aspergillus and Penicillum fungi, classified in the group of phenolic acids. It works by inhibiting melanogenesis, chelating the Cu2+ ions necessary for the activity of the tyrosinase enzyme, and consequently, inhibiting melanin synthesis. This action results in the reduction of skin pigmentation, reducing the appearance of dark spots, hyperpigmentation and other color irregularities.

The licorice extract present in NV Kojic Acid is also capable of inhibiting tyrosinase, and also has anti-inflammatory action. Licorice is obtained from the licorice plant, known as Glycyrrhiza glabra. Among its components, glabridin has the property of inhibiting tyrosinase without interfering with DNA synthesis. In addition to glabridin, it is also possible to find saponins and flavonoids in licorice extract, these being the compounds that have the greatest anti-inflammatory action. Liquiritin, present in this extract, has a dispersing action on melanin, contributing to depigmentation.

NV Hydroxy Acids

The blend of acids present in NV Hydroxy Acids is composed of glycolic, citric and lactic acid, all belonging to the group of alpha hydroxy acids (AHA).

Lactic acid is a cosmetic active ingredient derived from milk and is widely used in formulations that promote hydration due to its hygroscopic and emulsifying properties.8 This acid offers the same benefit as other AHAs, acting as a peeling promoter, improving skin roughness and reducing signs of photoaging. Another benefit related to lactic acid is the stimulation of the production of ceramides, which contributes to the improvement of atopic dermatitis and acne. In addition, it also forms a barrier against water and presents a reduction in transepidermal water loss with its use. Both lactic acid and citric acid are known to be well tolerated by sensitive skin, being used as moisturizers and chemical exfoliants in cosmetic preparations to prevent skin aging.

Glycolic acid, found in sugar cane, is widely used in the treatment of acne due to its remarkable ability to penetrate the stratum corneum, attributed to its low molecular weight compared to other alpha hydroxy acids. Furthermore, it demonstrates effectiveness as a depigmenting agent, being recommended for the treatment of conditions such as melasma, acne scars, stretch marks, fine wrinkles and injuries resulting from photoaging.

Citric acid, found abundantly in plants and especially in citrus fruits such as lemons and oranges, enjoys a wide range of applications in the cosmetic industry.14 Furthermore, in the field of dermatology, citric acid is highlighted for its antioxidant and toning properties. It also plays a crucial role in controlling skin oil and cell renewal, providing a rejuvenated appearance. Studies indicate that citric acid is effective in treating dermatological conditions such as acne, scars and melasma, in addition to reducing the appearance of wrinkles and expression lines.

All of these active ingredients from the group of alpha hydroxy acids (AHA) present in NV Hydroxy Acids are substances commonly used with the aim of reducing wrinkles and fine lines, cell renewal, reducing melasma and treating hyperpigmentation, promoting more radiant and renewed skin. Thus, NV Kojic Acid + NV Hydroxy Acids Lotion comes to the market to provide consumers with the benefits of uniforming skin tone and reducing wrinkles, expression lines and enlarged pores in just one product.
