NANO ARNICA MONTANA
Nano Arnica Montana is a blend of active ingredients encapsulated in lipid nanoparticles with an enzymatic release trigger. It has prolonged release, releasing about 80% of its content over the course of 8 hours after product application. Encapsulation of the blend through Nanovector Technology allows for the stabilization of extremely sensitive components and those that are complex to formulate in their free form. It also provides an increase in skin permeation of the active ingredients, an improvement in the final product's sensory characteristics, and multifunctionality for high hydration, as it acts in lipid replenishment and prevents trans-epidermal water loss. Nano Arnica Montana is a potent analgesic, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, cellular regenerator, and skin toner.
ACTIVES INGREDIENTS
Arnica Montana Oil
Arnica montana L. is a native species of Europe extensively used in traditional medicine for the treatment of bruises, edema, contusions, inflammation, muscular and rheumatic pain, and healing, among others. Its active principles are terpenoids (sesquiterpenes), flavonoids (including quercetin and its derivatives such as quercetin-3-monoglucoside and quercetin-3-glycogalacturonide), carotenoids, essential oil, phenyl carboxylic acid, among others. The anti-inflammatory activity of arnica is attributed to the presence of sesquiterpene lactones of the helenalin type. This activity is related to the inhibition of the transcription factor NF kappa ß activation.
A comparative study of the anti-inflammatory activity of Arnica montana tincture in solution and the corticosteroid betamethasone demonstrated that Arnica was effective, with no significant difference. The authors also suggest that the anti-inflammatory action of Arnica may be related to different mechanisms or even different mediators when compared to betamethasone.
Palmarosa Essential Oil
Palmarosa is a plant native to India, known as "Indian Geranium". Its main constituent is geraniol, a substance widely used in perfumery for its aromatic properties. In addition to these properties, geraniol, present in the essential oil of palmarosa, is responsible for insecticidal, antioxidant, antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory actions, and can also act in toning, cellular regeneration, and skin whitening.
