The active ingredient acts as a potent antioxidant for the treatment and prevention of photoaging, resulting in a decrease in wrinkle depth and an increase in skin elasticity and firmness. Coenzyme Q10 or Ubiquinone is a lipophilic antioxidant found in all human cells and is part of the electron transport chain responsible for energy production, with up to 95% of the body's energy requirements being supplied by CoQ10. The enzyme exerts its antioxidant activity by transferring protons from the mitochondrial membrane, neutralizing free radicals, and preventing damage to biomolecules.
