NV SKIN HEALTHIER ECO

NV Skin Healthier ECO is a blend of active ingredients encapsulated in biopolymeric nanoparticles, with an enzymatic release trigger. It has a prolonged release, releasing the encapsulated active ingredients gradually over a period of 12 hours after application. The encapsulation through Nanovetores Technology protects and stabilizes the active ingredients, increasing their permeation efficiency.

NV Skin Healthier ECO acts as a regenerator of damaged skin, anti-inflammatory, and helps to minimize the appearance of scars.

ACTIVE INGREDIENTS

Aloe Vera Extract

Popularly known as aloe, it has analgesic, antipruritic, antiallergic, healing, and anti-inflammatory properties. Emollient and film-forming gum resin with moisturizing, softening, healing, antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties. It is widely recognized for its moisturizing activity. Aloe provides moisture directly to the skin tissue. Other properties include moisture-regulating action and an apparent ability to absorb UV light. It has a slightly relaxing effect on the skin, making it valuable for sensitive, burnt, or sun-exposed skin. In traditional medicine, it is quite popular to treat burns.

Some Aloe vera substances are partially responsible for the anti-inflammatory and healing properties and several mechanisms have been proposed to explain their influence in these processes. Acemannan, a polysaccharide found in large quantities in Aloe vera, is able to stimulate macrophages to release interleukin-6, tumor necrosis factor-α, and nitric oxide. It is also able to increase fibroblast proliferation and stimulate the secretion of keratinocyte growth factor - 1 (KGF-1) and vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), in addition to collagen type I. All these substances are directly related to the healing process since they play important roles, such as tissue epithelialization, formation of blood vessels, and connective tissue formation. Mannose-6- phosphate, a polysaccharide present in Aloe vera, accelerates the healing process and reduces inflammation due to its connection to receptors present in fibroblasts. Proteins and glycoproteins isolated from Aloe vera also exhibited anti-inflammatory activity in vitro by reducing significantly the COX-2 enzyme and lipoxygenase.

The sap of aloe vera is rich in aloin, allantoin, and anthraquinones, which are excellent healing elements. In addition, Aloe vera has antimicrobial, antioxidant, and moisturizing properties, as well as it strengthens the scalp. It helps in the prevention of photoaging, as anthraquinones glycosides present in Aloe vera absorb UVB rays.

Onion Extract

Onion extract has anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, and antioxidant properties. The flavonoids present in onion extract, particularly quercetin and kaempferol, play an important role in reducing the formation of scar tissue through the inhibition of fibroblast activity and regulation of metalloproteinase-1 (collagenase), which reduces the fibroproliferative activity and extracellular matrix production.

Allium Cepa L., commonly known as onion, is a member of the Liliaceae family, and among the phytochemicals contained in onions, we can highlight flavonoids, saponins (ceposides), fructans, vitamins B1, B2, B6, C and E, biotin, and organosulfur compounds, considered important active ingredients for their antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial activity. Onion (Allium Cepa L.) extract, in fact, is known to contain a large amount of flavonols, mostly glucose derivatives from Quercetin and Kampferol, powerful antioxidants. These active ingredients have very different biochemical functions: they intervene in immune function, enzymatic activities, platelet aggregation and collagen, phospholipids, and histamine metabolism. Onion bulbs contain fructose, water-soluble carbohydrates, glucose, sucrose, fructooligosaccharides (FOS), and fructans constituting 60-80% of the dry weight. FOS are not just energy reserves but also act as osmoregulatory capable of retaining large amounts of water, maintaining hydration as well a balance of the skin and hair barrier10,11. The great affinity of onion extract for hair and skin can be explained by the presence of the –S-(O) –S– groups of Thiosulfinates, which interact with the SH groups present in cysteine, a component of beta-keratin found in abundance in these tissues. Thiosulfinates and ceapanes represent active constituents with the antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory activity present in onion extracts13. Studies have shown that onion extract has a therapeutic effect on alopecia areata, this activity can be attributed to the stimulation of hair growth through antigenic competition, reducing inflammatory cytokines in the hair follicle14. The extract has also been shown to be effective in improving the appearance of hypertrophic scars, known as keloids, characterized by excessive proliferation of dermal tissue after long periods and by persistent inflammation and fibrosis15. The anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties of onion extract make it an excellent ally in protecting the skin and hair against UV rays and pollution, promoting tissue regeneration.

Chamomile Extract

Chamomile (Chamomile extract/Anthemis nobilis/Matricaria chamomilla) has clinically proven anti-inflammatory and repairing properties. It is also considered bactericidal, antipruritic, soothing, antiseptic, purifying, refreshing and hypoallergenic, with the ability to neutralize substances that irritate the skin.

It has a calming effect, helps in skin cell regeneration, soothes inflammation, acts as an antioxidant, It has a calming effect, helps in skin cell regeneration, soothes inflammation, acts as an antioxidant, fighting the damage caused by free radicals, and has emollient properties. It contains in its composition chamazulene, which has recognized anti-inflammatory activity, enhanced by the presence of matricine and α-bisabolol, wherein the α-bisabolol has antiphlogistic, antibacterial, and antimycotic properties. It also has quercetin which provides antioxidant properties, as well as anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial ones.
