ACTIVE DESCRIPTION 

Magnesium ascorbyl phosphate is a derivative of ascorbic acid frequently used in cosmetic and dermatological products as it has greater chemical stability than ascorbic acid. Its molecular structure is obtained through the esterification reaction of a hydroxyl group with an inorganic chain. The reaction protects the enediol ring present in this compound from degradation reactions and gives the derivative improved stability, although it does not necessarily result in greater skin permeability.
